Adorable Baby Elephant Mock Charges A Group of Tourists

A group of safari tourists visiting South Africa’s Kruger National Park came across a baby elephant who charged the group and attempted to come across as threatening. If you watch the video of the encounter though you will see the baby bull elephant come across as nothing short of adorable. The little fella tries to behave as if he is all grown up but instead completely fails in his attempt.

Rhino Poaching On The Rise

In spite of intensifying efforts to battle rhino poaching in South Africa, the killing of the endangered species continues at an alarming level. In a recent interview, Edna Molewa, Minister of Environmental Affairs said that 749 rhinos were killed through to August 27th. This represents a 5 per cent increase compared to the same time period in 2014 when a record 1,215 rhinos were poached for their horns which are extremely valuable in China and Vietnam.

A gentleman from the United States spent US$50,000 on a two headed albino snake. Todd Ray who owns the Venice Beach Freakshow, purchased Medusa a four year old double headed Honduran Milksnake born in Florida. In an interview with reporters, Mr. Ray said he had wanted Medusa since she was born over four years ago and has been negotiating with the owner, with the price continually rising.

A man from Southern California is at risk of losing his hand after being bitten by a rattle snake. The man had been attempting to take a photo of himself with the venomous reptile wrapped around his neck. The man’s mother says Alex Gomez aged 36 is said to be extremely embarrassed by the incident which took place in the community of Lake Elsinore.

Poachers are pushing the iconic elephant to the brink of extinction in both Asia and Africa. The species is being targeted because their ivory tusks generate riches beyond belief. Rhino horns are thought to be a cure for cancer in the Far East despite the fact that it is made from exactly the same substance as our hair and toe nails. Regardless of that fact the rhino horn is literally worth more than its weight in gold for organised criminals who see dealing in the contraband as being less perilous than dealing with drugs or human trafficking.

Tiger handlers at Alipore Zoo which is located in the Indian city of Kolkata say they have not been successful in their attempts to mate a young male tiger. It seems that the big cat is showing no interest in mating. Vishal is a 10 year old white tiger and so far has rebuffed the advances of a tigress named Rupa that lives in the enclosure next door. Zoo officials say that libido enhancers have not seemed to work and are blaming Vishal’s shyness on the fact that he was bred in captivity.

A man from China had a big surprise in store for him when he learned that is beloved pet dogs were not actually dogs but were in fact two black bears. Mr. Wang Kayui of Yunnan village purchased the cubs a couple of years ago from Vietnam. He bought them whilst working on a banana plantation on the border between China and Vietnam.
