Sharks Shock Beach Goers In Florida

Recently Floridian beach-goers at Okaloosa Island received some unexpected visitors whilst they were taking a dip off the coast. A number of sharks appeared in the shallow sea during the afternoon and one holidaymaker who was there managed to capture the whole thing on video. Stephanie Adcock was lazing on the beach with the rest of her family at about 3 in the afternoon when she said that seven sharks appeared in the shallow water.

Watch This Video Of Two Adult Elephants Rescuing A Drowning Calf

Check out this amazing video of a swift rescue of a drowning elephant calf by two adult elephants. CCTV footage was captured from the Grand Park Zoo in South Korea showing a baby elephant playfully dunking it’s trunk into a large pool of water standing right next to an adult elephant. The next thing that happens is the baby elephant falls into the enclosure pool. At first the panicked adult looked on helplessly as the baby tried to keep its head and trunk above water. Another adult who was nearby heard the splash and arrived at its partners side within seconds as both attempted a rescue.

The Aspinall Foundation To Release Three Gorillas Back Into The Wild

In November 2015 Mbwambe the gorilla was taken to the Parc de la Lékédi in a 4×4 vehicle by the Aspinall Foundation. The Parc already has two orphans that were born in the wild under their care. One is a 13-year-old male called Rafa, the other named Dikélé is just 4 years old and had been severely traumatised.

Creatures of all sizes can have an impact on a community. If you don’t believe that then all you need to do is ask Koko the gorilla who is acting as a foster mum to three kittens called Bear, Mia and Vaida. Julie St Gregory of the San Jose Animal Care Centre in California says the kitten’s interaction with the gorilla has definitely made them less scared by socialising them. She says when you are being held by a giant gorilla, very few other things will make you afraid.

Spear Fisherman Catches Moment Of Shark Attack On Camera

A spear fisherman who had a camera attached to his head was able to catch an intense moment when a reef shark measuring 8 feet long attacked him and took a chunk out of his leg. The incident took place near Middle Samo Reef of Boca Chica in the Florida Keys. The fisherman who has not been identified posted a video of the attack on the internet and wrote that “this clearly could have been much worse”

A hunter in the Canadian woods is lucky to be alive following an attack by a black bear. The hunter, Richard Wesley was bow hunting close to Ontario’s Fire River when he saw a black bear strolling around quite close to him. Initially the bear did not seem to bothered by the presence of Mr Wesley, but when he makes a noise in an attempt to scare of the approaching bear, the bear decides to charge.

Shanthi is an Asian female elephant who is 36 years old and lives at the Smithsonian National Zoo. Now that might seem quite ordinary by Shanthi has a special talent, she can play the Harmonica!. Whilst at present Shanthi only has the ability to play a couple of notes, what is amazing is her keepers say they did not teach the elephant how to use a harmonica. What they did notice is that Shanthi really loved to make noise using a variety of objects, so they tested her by leaving instruments such as horns and harmonicas around and by herself she started blowing into the instruments until they produced a sound.
