Tourists visiting the wilderness of the Canadian Arctic on a fly-in polar bear safari got their money’s worth when they had a breath-taking encounter with a mama polar bear and her two 2-year-old cubs. Fortunately for the tourists, they were safely positioned behind an electric fence so were not in any danger whatsoever, but if you check out the video, you will see the polar bears approaching the camp from the distant sea ice.

Astonishing Footage Of Lion Getting Up Close And Personal With A Group Of Tourists

Recently tourists at a safari park in Ukraine had a remarkable experience. A lion climbed over the lot of them and even licked one in the face! This is actually a little disturbing given the fact that just a few weeks earlier, a woman was mauled by a lion at the same spot. If you watch the video you will see an untethered lion climbing aboard an open vehicle filled with tourists at Crimea’s Taigan Safari Park.

Humpback Whale Breaches Right Next To Tour Boat

Whale watchers on a boat trip of the Alaskan coast were surprised by a humpback whale that decided to breach right next to where their boat was sailing, soaking everyone in the process. One of the members of the tour group was lucky enough to capture the whole encounter on video and posted it to social media. The incident took place during an excursion organised by TAZ Whale Watching. If you check out the video you will be truly amazed and probably jealous of just how close the tour group got to the whale.

Some veterinarians who were visiting a lion sanctuary in South Africa found their mission became incredibly expensive when one of the big cats became curious and ended up popping three of their car tires. The whole episode was captured on video by one of the veterinary workers at the Glen Garriff Conservation Lion Sanctuary.

Recently The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy posted a video on social media showing biologist Greg Skomal who works with a state government agency in the United States having a very close encounter with a massive great white shark off the coast of Massachusetts. Mr Skomal had been attempting to place a tag on the apex predator which is certainly not something for the faint hearted. As he tried to tag the great white, it leapt out of the water and was literally within inches of the biologist’s feet.

Well that is exactly what happened to two chaps returning from their jobs in Australia’s Norther Territory who came across a large crocodile blocking the road. They managed to capture the encounter on video which shows the two men driving on an unpaved road and then encountering the croc who was relaxing in a puddle in the middle of the road.

A group of elephants all whom survived attempts to kill them for their ivory and ended up being rescued by conservation groups started a new chapter of their lives when it was decided it was time to release the pachyderms back into the wild.

A rare albino gray whale was spotted swimming off the coast of Mexico. Albino whales are almost never seen so it is fortunate that someone managed to capture the sighting on video, footage of which was released by the Mexican government. The whale has been nicknamed “Gallon of Milk” and astonishingly enough this is not the first sighting.

Nan Hauser a marine biologist who was snorkelling recently says she was protected by a 50,000-ton humpback whale from a predatory tiger shark. Ms Hauser says she was unwittingly diving in waters being patrolled by a tiger shark whilst she was attempting to interact with the humpback whale of the coast of the Cook Islands. If you watch the footage you will see the whale protectively tucking Ms Hauser underneath it’s pectoral fin, although you will not see the shark.

A hotel manager in Vermont got a bit of a shock when he came across a bear that had wandered into the hotel and was strolling along the hallway. The quick-thinking manager pulled out his phone and captured footage of the animal as it had a good look around. Fortunately, no guests came in contact with bear, so all’s well that ends well, but things really could have taken a turn for the worse.
