Deers tend not trust humans and they have good reason not to. However as one man recently found out, when mankind does step up an adorable cross species friendship can develop. Darius Sasnaukas recently rescued a wounded baby deer from the backyard of his house near Yellowstone National Park. After the deer war born, it became obvious that her injuries would prevent her from keeping up with her mother and she was abandoned.

Jaguar Too Fat To Mate Being Sent Back Home

A jaguar who was lent to Delhi zoo in India for breeding purposes is being sent back to his original home because he is too fat to mate according to his keepers. Salman is a twelve year old jaguar that was borrowed from a zoo in the Indian state of Kerala over a year ago. He has shown very little interest in Kalpana the zoo’s female jaguar. His handlers say that he seems more interested in his meals than he does Kalpana.

Rhino Poaching On The Rise

In spite of intensifying efforts to battle rhino poaching in South Africa, the killing of the endangered species continues at an alarming level. In a recent interview, Edna Molewa, Minister of Environmental Affairs said that 749 rhinos were killed through to August 27th. This represents a 5 per cent increase compared to the same time period in 2014 when a record 1,215 rhinos were poached for their horns which are extremely valuable in China and Vietnam.

A gentleman from the United States spent US$50,000 on a two headed albino snake. Todd Ray who owns the Venice Beach Freakshow, purchased Medusa a four year old double headed Honduran Milksnake born in Florida. In an interview with reporters, Mr. Ray said he had wanted Medusa since she was born over four years ago and has been negotiating with the owner, with the price continually rising.
