Festive Fun at Aspinall Foundation Wildlife Parks
Well the Christmas festivities have really kicked off over at the Aspinall Foundation parks this December 2012, with both animal experiences offering different fun things to do this Yuletide that are not only fun, but also educational.
Over at the Howletts Wild Animal Park near Canterbury, visitors can follow interesting trails to discover fun facts about the animals at the park. This is being called ‘Jungle Bells’, with guests invited to grab a quiz sheet at the gatehouse and follow the clues to reveal interesting animal facts disguised as Christmas Carols!
Animal Director for Howletts, Neil Spooner, said –
Christmas comes but once a year and the animals enjoy it just as much as we do – particularly the ones that thrive in the cold weather, like the snow leopards or Siberian tigers. December is a great month to visit the park. The gift shops at Howletts are crammed with goodies that would make perfect stocking fillers, from cuddly toys to ceramics, stationary, confectionary and more, so visitors can buy that last minute gift and avoid the high street stampede.
Whilst over at the Port Lympne Wild Animal Park near Ashford in Kent, there will also be a fun trail during December to discover which animals are hiding behind the advent calendar windows. There will be a whole host of calendars dotted around the park to discover, and then record the findings in the free Ranger’s Log Books that will be available at the gatehouse upon entry.
